The Elderly Bench prototype is a thoughtfully designed bench tailored for elderly individuals to enhance their comfort, mobility, and social engagement in public spaces like parks. Developed through in-depth conversations with elderly users and feedback from industry experts, the bench incorporates specialized features to address their unique needs, including a detachable board that serves as a table or chessboard and a detachable umbrella/cane holder. These features promote accessibility and encourage social interaction. The design aims to improve seniors' quality of life by fostering community connection and ease of use in outdoor environments.
